TotalBoat Gleam creates a finished look that's stunning in its beauty, gloriously highlighting the grain of all wood types. Its premium tung oil and phenolic resin formula is perfectly suited for clear coating applications. Gleam’s transparent amber Gloss and Satin finishes are easy to apply, with smooth flow out on bare wood, previously painted 1-part varnish in good condition, or over cured epoxy. Whether you choose Gloss or Satin, Gleam's fast-drying, easy-to-use formulas ensure a gorgeous amber finish with exceptional clarity and durability.
Tip: Achieving optimal results for gloss vs. satin applications.
- For Gloss applications, apply 4-6 coats of TotalBoat Gleam Gloss varnish to achieve desired finish & depth.
- For Satin applications, use build layers of Gleam Gloss, and directly prior to the final coat, sand lightly with 320-grit sandpaper & finish with 1 or 2 coats of Gleam Satin. Using Gleam Satin over built-up layers of Gleam Gloss showcases the natural wood grain more clearly than Satin alone.
